“Where liberty is, there is my country.” – Benjamin Franklin

I love New York because of the great energy the city exudes. There are just so many things to do, a lot to see… No need to drive to get to certain places. Subways are easily accessible, but not as desirable as they make it seem like in the movies hehe… Walking around Manhattan is the best, though it’s really tiring. The energy in Times Square at night is breathtaking. I just miss the city so much. I wish I can go back for a quick getaway. I have yet to see the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Guggenheim museum.

Touristy stuff: Statue of Liberty, Ellis island, Times Square, Central Park, Empire State Building, Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), Rockefeller center/Top of the Rock, New York Public Library, Grand Central Terminal, Ground Zero, China Town, Riding the subway.

Unwanted experience: We went to TGIF after seeing WICKED. We got our table and ordered our food just in time for happy hour. Then I called the waiter again for a question about a drink. He was so rude and told us that they only serve happy hour at the bar and not at the tables. He added that if we wanted happy hour prices then we should’ve said so in the first place. I told him then to cancel our orders for we are leaving. He got scared and told us that he would ask his manager if they can offer the happy hour prices to us. So as soon as he approached his manager, Jenn and I just left. I have to admit, I was pissed. lol.
